Making The Mundane Exciting

Making The Mundane Exciting

There is a fabulous series on Amazon Prime called "The Kaminsky Method." Just one of the many, many great lines in the show is "Making The Mundane Exciting."

Most of us live our lives in the Mundane. Eat, Shit, Sleep, is our motto. Work, kiss the spouse, say hi to friends, is our calling. See the sky, breathe the air and shelter is our right. These are the Mundane things we do almost every day.

What if we change the narrative?  What if we can make a ham sandwich exciting by putting secret sauce, chips and sweet pickles on it? What if we can get excited because we feel a good shit will make our day? What if we can get excited when we are able to sleep late on Sunday?

What if we could get excited and proud just putting in a good day of work? If that doesn't work, what if we can get excited when we get the hell out of there? What if we don't just kiss the spouse on the cheek and instead give the spouse a big wet one - now that would be exciting for us both? What if we don't just say hi to our friends and instead, we hug them and tell them we appreciate them - that would be exciting?

Wouldn't it be exciting if we stop taking the sky for granted? What if we take a moment to look at the clouds and/or the sunset and get excited what the Universe has given us. What if we could get excited appreciating that Mother Nature has given us air to breath so we can live a wonderful life? What if we can get excited because we have shelter when others do not?

Please believe me that:

"Making The Mundane Exciting" Is In Your Power

I May Not Change The World But I'm Going To Leave A Scar

I May Not Change The World But I'm Going To Leave A Scar

I love Country Rock. One reason is because they have interesting lyrics. "I May Not Change The World But I'm Going To Leave A Scar" is a line written and sung by the group Blackberry Smoke. I like that lyric because I want that to be me.

I have worked with and managed many people. Nothing I said to them or what I taught them would Change The World, but I believe I Left A Positive Scar. I have mentored people and believe their lives got better after working with me. There was nothing I said to them Would Change The World, But I Left A Positive Scar.

My books and my blogs on: "Happiness The Forgotten Ingredient" didn't Change The World, But I hope I Left A Scar on some of the people in the eleven countries that read my blogs.

I believe my truth, my happiness, my sense of humor, my positive energy, my love of life and my love of others:

For All The Places I Have Been I'm No Place Without You

For All The Places I Have Been I'm No Place Without You

My Ellen was at a flea market and bought a sign that said: "For All The Places I Have Been I'm No Place Without You." When she brought it home, I was without words. We agreed to put it over our bed.

Every time I walk into the room, I read that saying. It's probably the best way of saying: "I LOVE YOU." It's the way we feel about each other. However, it's also the way we feel about ourselves.

Our relationship of over thirty years has made that saying reality. I never had felt that way before. At forty (with the help of another) I finally realized that I was feeling the same way about myself. Reflecting on that saying when I think about myself, I would rewrite it another way: "For All The Places I Have Been I'm No Place Without ME."

I finally realize that I love myself. I finally realize that I trust myself. I finally realize that I'm a good person. I finally realized that I deserve the good that has happened to me. I finally realized that I'm lovable and loved by others.

Sooo, when I read that sign every time I walk into the room, I think of Ellen and I think of me.

Love Train

Love Train

Hi all, miss me? It's football season and I'm locked in on my Rams and Eagles. However, at the gym today I listened to the O'Jays sing their song "Love Train." That song got me thinking. What if people all over the world joined hands and formed a Love Train?

What if the people in Russia and China and Egypt and Israel and Africa joined hands and got on the Love Train? What if the American people in the South and in the East and in the Mid-West and in the West joined hands and got on the Love Train?

Ya see, you don't need no ticket just get on board.

This world has got to change. America has got to change. We have people joining hands on Climate Change why can't we have the same energy dedicated to loving each other. Talk isn't enough.

I'm calling on all young people (especially school and college people) to start the Love Train. Older people will join if a Love Train is created. Sooo, I'm asking you - no I'm begging you to ask your kids to form together and create an American Love Train. If they do so the rest of the world will join in.

You Can Count On Me To Get On Board.
