The Scientists say:

We feel joy in our bodies because of the release of dopamine and serotonin, two types of neurotransmitters in the brain. Both of these chemicals are heavily associated with happiness (in fact, people with clinical depression often have lower levels of serotonin).

Imaging studies suggest that the happiness response originates partly in the limbic cortex. Another area called the precuneus also plays a role.

First, let's not confuse Happiness with Happy and/or Laughter. Happy and Laughter are a moment in time. Getting a great present on your birthday makes you feel Happy, however, that's once a year. Watching the Move "The Birdcage" makes me laugh, but how many times can I watch that movie. 

No one can be Happy all of the time. No one can Laugh all of the time. I believe two hours of Happy and/or Laughter is greater than twenty-two hours of sadness, depression or anger. Sooo, how can I find Happiness in an Unhappy world?

The answer is convincing yourself to seek Happiness. If eating spinach doesn't make you happy, don't eat it. If a person makes you Unhappy, remove that person from your life. If a bad back makes you sad, do what you can about it and find a way to live a Happy life with it.

Many of the action you take to find Happiness have consequences. Divorce has consequences. No longer talking to a relative has consequences. Leaving a job that you hate to find one that makes you Happy has consequences.

To find Happiness in life you will have to accept the consequences. To find Happiness in your life you have to want it more than staying with the things that make you Unhappy. This is your life not theirs. You are in control because:

When an Italian mobster says "RATE THIS" he's saying: "suck my big one." It's all about the "THIS" and the way it's said. "But, God Father, I love her." God Father, "LOVE THIS."

If you buy anything over the internet, a day or two later they want you to rate the transaction. Almost all websites have a five star rating. I know what a five star is and I know what a one star rating is, but what is a two to four star rating. Is a four the same as a five except one tiny little problem (like it arrived one hour late)? 

A three star is from a person who can't make up their mind. I have no idea what a two star rating is. Unless the product doesn't work at all, a one star rating is usually from a person who is unhappy and hates everything. This negative person will give a one star for the slightest little problem.

Some sites ask you to type in a heading and then a review. Thank the Universe they only let you type in so many letters in the review because the one starrers' would write a book on what they hate about the product.

"RATE THIS"

I don't know about you, but I think it's crazy to give any rating to something that's an everyday use product. Amazon wants me to rate a six pack of Colgate toothpaste. What the hell am I going to say about toothpaste. 

On the other hand, rating a humidifier, I bought, is important. When I look for a product (like a humidifier) I want to read the ratings. Nothing gets 100% five stars because every review has 2 or 3% from the negative energy people. Think about that. If 10,000 people rate a product there are 300 negative people. Multiply that by millions and millions of products and you have a lot of very unhappy people.

"RATE THIS"

It used to be that only websites asked for a rating. Now it's everyone. I went to CVS and used my CVS card so I could get coupons. When I got home and looked at my emails, there was an email from CVS asking me for a rating. Two weeks ago, I went to my Dentist. The next day I got an email from the Dentist for a rating. 

What the hell am I going to say about the Dentist, how well his office looks and how his staff treated me. He is my Dentist. Would you have a Dentist that sucks. Would have a Dentist that had a dirty office. Would you have a Dentist whose staff treats you like shit. Of course, the Dentist gets five stars.

Enough is enough already
