Death - What Is It Good For - Absolutely Nothing

Death - What Is It Good For - Absolutely Nothing

Can you imagine how difficult it is to deal with cancer? Wither you're in stage 1 or stage 4, having cancer makes you think about death. Even if you have a type of cancer that can be entirely remover and cured, the back of your brain worries: "will it come back and kill me."

Even if you're healthy now, there are many things that can kill you. Your body is a time bomb. Unless you live in a vacuum, the outside world can kill you in many ways.

At 12 years old we don't think about it. At 25 or 35 we still don't think about it. However, at 45 or 55 we think about it in the back of our mind.

At 65 plus, we not only think about it, we start to do things to help us live longer. Many of those things are great and important. However, some of us take those actions to the extreme.

So, what if you have a Fat Burger twice a month - maybe you'll die three day sooner - who cares - life is about living. Some of us worry so much about living longer we forget to live for today.

Me personally, I would prefer to know when I will die. If it's one year or ten years, by knowing, I can get my life together and do the things that make me happy - TODAY.

Sooo, what if you don't know when death will come? I say, assume it can happen at any time and try to do the things that make you happy. Life is not a marathon. What good is living longer if you're not living TODAY?

The Definition Of LOVE

 The Definition Of LOVE

Webster says:

The Definition of love

1a(1)strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal tiesmaternal love for a child
(2)attraction based on sexual desire affection and tenderness felt by loversAfter all these years, they are still very much in love.
(3)affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interestslove for his old schoolmates
ban assurance of affectiongive her my love
Webster always does a good job defining things. However, I believe the way to define LOVE is:

* Ellen, knowing that I have a bad back, always gives me the most conferrable place to be on the sofa even those she has a not-so-great back herself.

* Last week we purchased a small whiteboard to hang in the kitchen. The main purpose is to write down our shopping list. The first night, when she was in bed, I wrote on the board: "I LUB YOU." In case you don't know what LUB is, It's my highest definition of LOVE. It's LOVE times 10.

The next morning, when she came into the kitchen, she had a smile on her face that made me very happy. Then, the next morning I came into the kitchen there were the words: "I LUB YOU MORE." That made me feel LOVED.

* When our dog ZITA was alive, she would wait for us at the door. When we came in, she would run to us and hug and kiss us. You could see the LOVE in her eyes.

Before we came into the house, we looked forward to seeing her so much she could see the LOVE in our eyes.

 * We LOVE our cousins so much that when they have troubles, we hurt inside. When they are really happy, we feel even more LOVE of them.

You see, LOVE can't be defined by words. Saying: I LOVE YOU," is great and you should do it as often as possible, but the words are meaningless unless your actions truly show your

Powerful Logos

 Powerful Logos

Why do Companies, groups and even Governments use Logos? It's all about how the brain works. There is a visual cortex in each hemisphere of the brain, much of which is located in the Occipital lobe

The important thing is that the brain holds on to images better than words or numbers. These images represent a meaning to us humans and even some animals. Much of that meaning is a creation of what the Companies, groups and Governments want you to think about their Logos.

Let me give you a few Powerful Logos:

Hitler's Swastika

This Logo (symbol) represents to almost all humans hate, death, fear, racism and, if we let it fester, how us humans can become monsters. Since I grew up in a neighborhood with two holocaust survivors, the sight of this symbol (Logo) makes me sick in my brain and stomach.

Our brain reacts that way because of the atrocities Hitler did to the Jews and anyone not white - can you spell Proud Boys or KKK.

Nike's Swoosh

Nike, like other brands, do not have to put their name on their products because we have that Logo in our brain that the company name is Nike. When we see the Swoosh we think of Nike, good quality, stylish and athletic sports. How did we get that into our brain - a shit load of advertising by Nike. They told us what to think about when we see the swoosh.

Car Logos.

The Cadillac Logo represents luxury. The BMW Logo represents performance. The Honda Logo represents quality at an affordable price. This is what the companies want us to think by the way they build their cars and how they advertise.

I could go on and on. My favorite Logo is the:

Peace Symbol (Logo)
