Being Loved

Is Being Loved important? Most would say yes, but some would say no. Does Trump want to be loved? I don't think so. What he does want is for everyone to say he's right. My father was not the loving type. On the other hand, my mother was a major hugger and loved every human and every animal. I was my mother's favorite and got hugs and love all the time. I turned out to be more of the hugging type. 

My sister wanted my father to give her love and affection, but because he was not the loving type, she didn't get it. She turned out to be like my father. The interesting thing is my grandparents were the same as my mother and father. My grandfather was not a loving person. My grandmother was exactly like my mother. I'll bet that my mother was my grandmother's favorite and she hugged and loved my mother more than the three boys.

THE CYCLE CONTINUES

You can't turn a switch and become a loving person. You also can't demand another person to become a loving person. Sooo, what are your options? Well, if you have been reading my blogs, you know what I'm going to say: "love yourself just a little bit more than anyone and anything else."

I will guarantee you that if you are able to accomplish that goal, you will fill fantastic when you're loved, but still be a happy person if you are not. Based on your background and a little bit of your DNA, having unconditional love for yourself might be a tough hill to climb. Is there another option - yes?

You don't have to be a loving person to be a best friend. You don't have to be associated with a person who is not a loving person, in general, but who has befriended you. Being a best friend, by my definition, is someone who cares about you. Someone who wants you to be happy. Someone who will be there for you. Someone you trust and respect you. Someone who is willing to tell you you're wrong (Trump doesn't have best friends).

Expected to be loved is a crap-shoot. Expecting to have best friends is, in my opinion, something you should count on. The best way to create best friends is to be a best friend yourself.

Sooo, do you need to Be Loved? If you take option one or two, it's not mandatory.
