No Regrets
Regrets, I've had a few
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way
Young kids today never heard the song: "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. Young Kids don't have any regrets. It's the older people who seem to have regrets. When I look back on my life, I decided to have No Regrets.

I grew up poor, but I had lots of friends who were also poor. A line in my first book: "At 10 I was poor, but I was having fun." Being poor made me appreciate the things I did have. Being poor gave me a strong work ethic. Yes, I was poor, but today I have:
No Regrets
I had a horrible first marriage. So much so, that I was an inch away from having a mental breakdown. However, right after the divorce, I was free. I could see the light of day. I could make choices in life that I could never make before.
The end of my first marriage was like the old joke: " A guy tells his friend that his wife hits him over the head with a hammer every day. His friend asks him: "why do you let her do that." He responds: "because it feels so good when she stops.""
Bad marriage and divorce were difficult, but I had:
No Regrets
My marriage to my second wife was not what I expected. I married her for all the wrong reasons. The most important one was that she was the total opposite of my first wife. Eventually, the marriage ended in a bitter divorce where I was left with financial disaster.
However, my second wife introduced me to Bob. With Bob's help I was able to change my life for the good. The tools Bob gave me helped me become a happy person. Once I fixed my life, I was able to appreciate My Ellen. We had a great 35 years together until she died from a massive heart attack. After Ellen I found the love of my life, Joyce. I've never been happier.
Second marriage ended in divorce and financial ruin, but to this day, I have:
No Regrets
Sooo, Regrets - what are they good for - absolutely nothing. Living your life with regrets will never make you happy. The events of your life have made you who you are today. You can't change the past, so your only choice is to find a way to focus on your happiness today with no regrets from the past.
Regrets, I've Had A Few, But I Made It Through And Did It My Way.
