Would You Love Me Like I Am
If someone asks me about my health I always say: "I'm Mister Perfect." Oh ya, I have significant spinal issues, but as I also say: "it's just the bumpers - my engine and transmission are in great shape."
However, when it comes to my emotional state, I'm far from Mister Perfect. When it comes to my decision making, I'm far from Mister Perfect. When it comes with the way I deal with problems, I'm far from Mister Perfect. When it comes to being right, I'm far from Mister Perfect.
Therefore, dealing with me day to day can be a challenge. I know I'm a good person. Even with my faults, would you love me like I am? Over the years I've gotten much better. I'm no longer the asshole I used to be. But, I can be difficult at times. Sooo, Can you love me like I am?
I've lost wives and friends because they didn't accept and love me like I am. Fortunately, I love myself and have a wife who loves me like I am. That's all I need to live out my years a happy person.
