Words Should Be Respected
Words
are important and should not be misused. Words can make you cry and words can
make you laugh. Words can make you feel down and words can lift you up. Words
can bring war and words can bring peace.
Anyone
trying to learn the English language find it difficult because words can have
different meanings. For example, we all know what a bitch is - it's a female
dog. I bet you thought it was a woman who did you wrong. Then there's "my
bitch” has a great ass." In that sentence “bitch” has nothing to do with
someone who has done you wrong, it just describes a woman.
Which
brings me to the word ass. We all know what an ass is - it's a donkey. I'll bet
you thought ass was the thing below your lower back. You know the body part
that when squeezed feels like a small soft pillow - that's unless you put another
word in front of it and call someone a "hard ass."
A
"hard ass" is someone who is stubborn which has nothing to do with
soft and cuddly. Now, if you put a word directly after ass it becomes an
"asshole." Yes, an ass has a hole in it, but an "asshole"
has nothing to do with your ass’s hole.
We
all know what an "asshole" is and we know who the
"assholes" are. "Asshole is just a word to describe someone who
is an "asshole." You can use other words like "bitch" (oh,
that word again) or "dirtbag" or my favorite "mother
fu.ker."
Then
again, "mother fu.ker" can mean other things. Obviously, it's someone
who has done you wrong. However, used in a different sentence can be something
endearing. In the ghetto someone would say: "hay homie, get you "mother
fu.ken" ass over here so we can par-tee.
Yes,
words can have different meanings and can mean different things based upon the
way you use them and even the inflection of your voice. Therefore. it's
critical that you use your words carefully and respectfully.
I
suggest you take a pregnant pause, before words come out of your mouth, so you
can think about what words you're about to use. If you have the time, I suggest
you write down what you want to communicate. That way you can look at the words
to make sure they express what you want to say - "I may do
............" or "I will do........." the two have very
different meanings.
It's Important to "Get" the Words Said By Someone Into Your Brain, But It's More
Important That You "Get It."
