The Future Of Religion

The Future Of Religion

Almost all religions' focus is on a God. We've been worshiping Gods for thousands of years.

Greek Gods
The Greek creation myth begins with the god of love, Eros, who creates the sky and the earth and makes them fall in love. From their perch on Mount Olympus, the major gods such as Apollo and Aphrodite acted like and even associated with, humans, leading to god/human hybrids called demigods.
Many of the demigods were warriors who walked and fought alongside humans in the stories written down in the Iliad and Odyssey. Eight gods (Apollo, Areas, Dionysus, Hades, Hephaestus, Hermes, Poseidon, Zeus) are arguably the most important of the Greek gods.

Egyptian Gods
They all start with the god Atum who creates order from chaos. Monuments, texts, and even public offices bear the marks of Egypt's myriad gods. Fifteen gods (Anubis, Bastet, Bes, Geb, Hathor, Horus, Neith, Isis, Nephthys, Nut, Osiris, Ra, Set, Shu, and Tefnut) stand out as being the most significant religiously or the most prominent in terms of the political power of their priesthoods.

Roman Gods
In Roman mythology, Chaos itself created Gaia, the Earth, and Ouranos, the Heavens. A handy table of equivalents between 15 similar Greek and Roman gods—Venus is Aphrodite in Roman clothing, while Mars is the Roman version of Ares—shows just how similar they were.  In addition to Venus and Mars, the most significant Roman gods are Diana, Minerva, Ceres, Pluto, Vulcan, Juno, Mercury, Vesta, Saturn, Proserpina, Neptune, and Jupiter.
Hindh, Aztec, Norse, Celtic, Japanese, Mayan, Chinese and Babylonian Gods
That's a shit load of Gods.

As science prevailed over those thousands of years, People got rid of those Gods and religions focused on one God. Then a scientist named Charles Darwin wrote that evolution is the method of how humans were created. The religions went nuts and locked him up.
Today, many believe in evolution and many believe in creationism (God came down and created Adam and Eve - the first humans). Today, many people believe in God, but also believe that evolution created Men and women. Personally, I have a hard time believing that a God pointed his magic wand and created a human being - but, that's just me.
As science (computers, chips, AI and the laws of physics) evolves in the next 100 years, what created humans will be proven and it won't be creationism.
AI will enhance our life - not replace us. The new laws of physics will prove the evolution of the Universe. Electronics will get to the nano level and will solve many things we suffer today.
Replacing human body parts will become common. Enhancing the human brain will speed up both our logical left brain and the creative right brain leading to new discoveries. We will solve the hunger problems of today so nobody goes hungry. I strongly believe that in 100 years wars will no longer exist and we will sing: "War, What Is It Good For - Absolutely Nothing.
The question is, in 100 years from now, will the many people who are God fearing, believe it's God's will, believe God does things for a reason, let's God and religious leaders rule their lives and/or believe that it's ok to kill your enemies because you'll be going to God, sustain in the millions they are today.
