Monsters

Growing up, instead of being afraid of monsters I loved them. Movies that had monsters in them were my favorite. Today, the biggest box office movies have monsters in them. However, today we also have monsters around the world.

Today, Egypt reported that 21 people were beheaded by the monsters called ISIL. It seems to me that be-headings strike a nerve with many people around the world. I'm not sure why? Hitler was a monster and he never be-headed anybody. In my opinion what he did was worse.

Hitler would make the Jews dig long trenches and then have them kneel down in front of the trenches while his guards shot them to death. I'd call that monstrous. Hitler had Jews huddle in a room and slowly gas them to death. I'd call that really monstrous. 

In Africa, the warlords not only beat and shot people to death, they would cut of their limbs allowing them to live as cripples. As cripples, these people couldn't care for themselves and would not last long on this earth. In my opinion, that might be the most monstrous of all.

Sooo, let's not get to depressed about these crazy monstrous Terrorists cutting off people's heads.  They would be just as monstrous if all they did was shoot these poor people. 

What makes a great monster in movies are the ones that don't value life. Not just the people they kill, but even their own life. These movie monsters are so evil we cheer when the good guys finely find a way to destroy them (which usually doesn't happen until the last fifteen minutes of the movie).

ISIL Terrorists are no different than movie monsters. They don't value the life of others and they don't value their own life. They are just as happy to kill as be killed. It's that lack of loving life that makes them so evil. 

Hitler was a monster, but at least he valued his own life. These evil Terrorists believe this life is not something they want. They believe their life after death is the one they want. I sometimes wonder if somehow we could convince them that there isn't anything after this life would they be so monstrous?

Sooo, what should all of us get out of this blog? One, like the movies, we will cheer when these evil monsters are eradicated. However, just like the movies, when we get rid of these monsters, more monsters will show up. 

Two, stop believing there is a better life after this one. Forget what your parents, your church, your organization, etc. tells you - live your life NOW because you have no proof that life after this one is better. The people who want you to believe in faith are the ones who can't prove shit about the afterlife.

Third, don't get yourself too upset about these monster ISIL Terrorists. They want us to believe they are more evil than the movie monsters because they kill people by cutting off their heads or burn them in a cage. Like the movies, they are just monsters, who are going to be eliminated fifteen minutes before the movie is over, and when they die,
