Who Are You
If I asked you this question: "who are you," what would you say? Would you think about it and then answer? Would you just blurt out the first thing that comes to your mind or would you stare into space not knowing what to say?
If you answered immediately your response will probably be a very simple answer to a very complex question. You might say; "I'm an electrician." You might say: "I'm a nice person." You might say: "I'm a mother." You might say: "I'm the one that gets everything done."
The fact is you're that and a whole lot more. If you take the time to think about it, you'll probably describe yourself in many multiple terms. "Who am I?" Well, let's see. I'm a writer, blogger and personal mentor. I'm also a husband and father. I'm an astute businessman. I believe that if you give positive energy out to the Universe you'll get positive energy back. I love myself, my wife and my REAL friends. I get frustrated at minor things................... I can't go on because reading all the things I believe I am will bore the crap out of you.
If you're the person who stares into space because you don't have a good answer to that question, I suggest you tell the person asking: "I'll get back to you on that question." After saying that, take out a piece of paper and start writing down everything you think you are. You'll be amazed at how complicated you are. Don't just think about it, write it down.
Also, don't just write down the good things, write everything. The best way to do that is to draw a line down the middle of the page and write the good stuff on the left and the bad stuff on the right. You'll be surprised at how many positive things are on the left, but you'll also be shocked at the long list of negative things you have to say about yourself.
Now, take that list and embrace the good stuff while you get real about all of your bad stuff. The solution to obtaining happiness is accepting the bad things and trying every day to change the negatives into a positive. If you don't have anything to write down on the negative side of the page, you'll never become a truly happy person.
Sooo, Who Are You? You're the only one who knows. The outside world doesn't know shit about you. Their opinions don't count and shouldn't be considered.
What You Write Down On The "Who Are You" Ledger Is The Only Thing That Counts.
